About the editor

Dr Janet Toland is an Associate Professor in Information Systems at Te Herenga Waka, Victoria University of Wellington. Janet researches the history of information systems and has a particular interest in social and ethical issues. She is currently leading a research project investigating the history of data privacy and protection in New Zealand. Janet has been a member of ITP since 2010.
